Professional Experience

Aysel Eminli received her B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Baku State University in Azerbaijan, graduating with honors. During her undergraduate studies, she was involved in several research projects. As an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Rasim Alosmanov’s group at Baku State University, she worked on a green chemistry project focused on the treatment of river water contaminated with dye compounds. She also participated in a research project at Khazar University, where she gained experience using an electrospinning machine to produce nanofibers.

In addition to her research experience, Aysel participated in two scientific symposiums during her undergraduate studies. She also completed a six-month teaching internship, teaching chemistry at both the high school and junior high school levels. During her third year, she participated in a nationwide Chemistry Olympiad for university students and earned third place.

Aysel was accepted into the Ph.D. program in Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Oklahoma beginning in Fall 2026. She looks forward to further developing her research skills and exploring new areas of chemistry throughout her graduate studies.

Outside of academics and research, Aysel enjoys playing volleyball and chess.
